As a composer and performer of folk songs for children, Suzanne Pinel has recorded over four hundred educational songs. With her scholarly training and solid understanding of children’s growth and development, she has been able to integrate the discovery of music with the learning of other school subjects in a vibrant and humorous style suitable to young learners.
Suzanne has devoted many years to the teaching of music workshops for teachers at the Faculty of Education in the University of Ottawa. And finally, as author of a television series for children, she has won the Can-Pro Prize for youth productions.
Elaine Mason is a graduate of Fine Arts (Music) from York University and an acknowledged leader in Music Education and Teacher Training. She is widely known in Canada for her workshops and publications for teachers which include guide books for two music education television series and the Canadian Artists Recording Series.
Her interest in choral music education has rejuvenated school music programs by initiating choral projects and festivals. She is active in facilitating International Master Classes in choral music education.
Marilyn Hardie has worked as a Music Consultant for many years and taught all levels Kindergarten – Secondary in school in Canada, Australia and Ecuador. She has extensive experience in teacher education including the teaching of Music Education courses at the University level as well as workshops for teachers throughout Canada and Australia.
She has been very involved in the development of curriculum materials and recently worked as Curriculum Consultant for the “Learning through the Arts” program based at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. She is a great believer that music is for all children and is an essential for a balanced and rich life.
